Artist's Description
In 1979 I was learning about mandalas and deepening my understanding of the Bach Flower Essences. At that time I was inspired to create a rose window style painting incorporating each of the original 38 flower essence into the design. Taking the project one step further, when I was painting the individual flower, I mixed the 'essence' into the paint and also sipped water with the essence in it.
This mandala is called "Wild Rose Window". The Wild Rose essence is used more than any of the other essences. It is primarily used for 'overcoming apathy'. This painting hung in a shelter for battered women until they moved locations.
